This small town is situated some 32 km north of Bronkhorstspruit, on Road R568 towards Ekandustria/KwaMhlanga, and is renowned for its wine cellar and traditional Ndebele village. The Loopspruit vineyard and cellars produce lovely wines as well as the potent but traditionally South African “witblits” (raw spirit/moonshine) and “mampoer” (home-made brandy).
Loopspruit Wine Estate: Loopspruit is the most northerly wine estate in South Africa and is located on the banks of the Loopspruit River. Daily tours and wine-tasting are offered. Taste and buy to your heart’s content.
